ABOUT US

Our films at Rumination Images propel the viewer to fathom emotion and become an active participant in the cinematic journey.

Being encouraged as a child to go out into the world and explore, learn and read was the true spark that led me down the path of being a filmmaker. With my first camcorder at age 12, I started creating shorts, knowing that this was going to be a lifelong commitment and passion that I was about to embark on. This, combined with my love for my hometown of Pittsburgh and the people here, I set out on my journey.

From my first production office in the basement of my childhood home, to my college dorm, to my first episodic period piece I wrote and directed right out of college, I created the foundation of my wholistic approach to filmmaking. I worked on big budget films and streaming series in various roles, as well as spending time in the independent market. While these positions continued to help me learn and grow as a filmmaker, what I realized is that it was time to create and produce my own work.  I asked myself “Is this really what I want to do?”  The answer was and still is a resounding YES.

With Rumination Images, I want to have an affect emotionally on my audience and have resources to bring those ideas forward.  I will also set aside funds within the company to produce local film projects of other local filmmakers that just need a hand, just need that one person to believe in them. This company will prove that you don’t have to live in a larger city to become a recognized filmmaker and that the next 12-year-old filmmaker with the basement production office can exceed in his passion and goals while still being a homegrown Pittsburgher.
